"...it was the worst of times*"

...but the chemo is over, just got to survive trips to the loo, too numerous to mention, for the next three weeks, then however long it takes, to get back to 'normal'. oh and Dr Onc has decided, no radiotherapy. Well, hurrah to that.

I think I have missed getting into the Hockney exhibition in England so I plan to see it in Paris, it's good to plan. I'm more likely to get into Iida-Yayoi's show at the Tate Modern www.tate.org.uk/modern
I look more like her, except she has eyebrows.

Alexa is going to the Bafta's this evening and is passing on my best to George. I think this would be a good time to give you my thank you speech.

A huge thanks to everyone who has hung on in there through all the last six months of crud. All my chums and most of my family have been more than fantastic, and unlike Meryl (or Beryl which would be a better name and keep her more grounded) I won't name every single one of you ...except James, Polly, Bill, Harry and Clare.

And Daisy cos she is currently trashing every room in the house looking for something I have lost, so no change there and she will continue if I don't mention her.

Since I'm not allowed out, Mr Clooney is coming to me, more news later.

*Happy Birthday Charlie boy and so long shoop shoop Whitney.

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only." Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
